BBWSurf was founded in 2014 as an offshoot of Big Fat Chics. While BigFatChics had been offering multiple guest models, the administrators wanted a site that would give each individual model a page of their own. BBWSurf's original three models were KimmyCrush, BigMommaKat, and BigBootyAsshley, and after three years, the site has expanded to include 10 models in total.

BBWSurf also hosts the forum BBWClubs.
