Kip TeiTei

Kip TeiTei is an independent webcomic artist and writer best known for the series Breakfast with Sister (BWS), No Lunch Break (NLB), Full Night Nanny (FNN), and the ongoing series One Serving Choice (OSC). Their work frequently incorporates themes of weight-gain fetishism, feederism, lesbian relationships, and humor, often presented through long-form, character-driven narratives.

A distinctive aspect of Kip TeiTei’s comics is the interconnected world in which they are set, unified by recurring motifs such as the Alae Augmentum (commonly referred to as “Feather Ears”). These features have become both a stylistic signature and a recognizable hallmark of the artist’s fictional universe.

Kip TeiTei’s work, beyond and inclusing their comics, has cultivated a niche but dedicated following online particularly within communities interested in weight-gain fiction, queer representation, and serialized webcomics with a strong emphasis on interpersonal dynamics. Their Popularity is evidenced by being one of few artists in the community with a dedicated subreddit.

Career

Kip joined DeviantArt 11 years ago, making their first post on April 24, 2011. This upload featured an original character named Talon, attributed to another user under the now-deactivated account Wolfangfists, for which no record survives outside of this appearance. Their next post, Delicious Chubby AD, showcased what would become their primary original character and profile mascot, Kip Teitei. Though unnamed in this post, this drawing marked the first appearance of the “Feather Ears” motif that would remain central to their work.

Just four days later, on April 28, Kip uploaded Awkward Call, which solidified the OC’s design and set the model for their debut webcomic, Breakfast with Sister.

In another early recurring motif, a now-unidentified post introduced the theme of children in aquatic settings mistaking characters’ stomachs for beach balls or flotation devices, often creating humorous or embarrassing scenarios. This concept would reappear in later independent works and be more fully developed in the comic No Lunch Break.

On April 29, 2011, Kip explained the origin of their username in a reply to DeviantArt user janus-006, noting that “Kipitei” and “Kipteitei” were nicknames used in various MMOs, and confirming the name of their OC.

By May 22, 2011, Kip uploaded their first post featuring themes of giantism and vore. This marked the beginning of a brief phase in which such content appeared regularly on their page. This period culminated in the November 13, 2012 post Vore Art Meme, where Kip introduced their first illustrated FAQ in the context of vore art, even presenting themselves as being “into vore.” At this point they also emphasized their friend neoindy’s OC and DeviantArt mascot “Diva” as equally central to their gallery, an emphasis that would later disappear from their work.

On October 23, 2011, Kip’s account reached 100,000 views, a milestone highlighting their rapidly growing popularity. Shortly afterward, the first recorded commission was posted.

Webcomic Beginnings

On April 28, 2011, Kip published the first page of their debut webcomic, Breakfast with Sister, which introduced their OC’s unnamed sister, later called Kat. The second page, posted May 30, brought in the character nicknamed “Father Teitei” by the community. On July 9, the third page confirmed the main character’s name as “Kip" within an official work.

The fifth page introduced bellybutton kissing and play, a recurring element that would become a staple across Kip’s comics.

On October 29, 2011, in the post My Lovely Silly Cakey Gals, Kip elaborated on the origins of their OCs. Here, it was revealed that Kat’s name may have been adapted from “Katiie,” a character Kip created in Neverwinter Nights 2. In their own words: “Katiie is my character from Neverwinter Nights 2. Took some modding to get a char like that in game. I always play a sorcerer and it’s a good excuse for a non-physical char to get fat!” Kip also referenced their background in Perfect World Online, where they had played both a priest and an archer, describing their avatar as “too chubby to fly with her puny wings.”

The eighth page of Breakfast with Sister introduced another recurring theme of Kip’s comics: force-feeding.

On July 17, 2012, Kip announced their first piece of merchandise, the “Kipteitei Dakimakura,” reflecting the growing attachment fans had developed toward their characters.

On March 13, 2013, pages 16–18 of Breakfast with Sister were uploaded, bringing the first chapter to a close. On the same day, Kip shared a teaser for the second chapter, revealing Kat’s name and the names visual designs of Ilse and Grace. While all characters received short descriptions, Grace’s was left mysterious, consisting only of three question marks. Nearly a month later, on April 29, 2013, the first page of Chapter Two, Lunch with Sister, was posted.

This period marked a turning point where comics became Kip’s main creative focus. On June 3, 2013, the post Breakfast with Sister – Alae Augmentum formally defined the rules of the Feather Ears, reconciling earlier lore from their October 29, 2011 post.

Grace made her full debut shortly thereafter on June 19, 2013, appearing in page six of Lunch with Sister.
